SEPIA-CAPPED FLYCATCHER (LEPTOPOGON SUPERCILIARIS), LA MESA RD,EL VALLE DE ANTON,COCLE PROVINCE,PANAMA, 5/24/2019

       We can ID this Tyrant Flycatcher as a Sepia-capped Flycatcher as follows:

  • Greyish face with dark cheek patch(this can best be seen in third photo)
  • Dull brown crown
  • Olive-green back
  • Pale yellowish green underparts
  • Two buffy wingbars and buffy wing edgings
  • Greyish throat
  • Brownish tail

       The Sepia-capped Flycatcher is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 871.
