We can ID this bird as a Northern Wheatear as follows:
- Tail black with white base (see second photo)
- Whitish supercilium
- Dark patch behind eye that narrows to bill (see first photo)
- Dark wings
- Buffy breast and grayish belly
- Merlin bird photo ID app identified this bird as a Northern Wheatear
The Northern Wheatear is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 945.
