GRAY THRASHER, SAN JOSE DEL CABO, LOS CABOS, BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR, MEXICO, 12/17/2023 - NEW LIFE SPECIES

   We can ID this bird as a Gray Thrasher as follows:
  • Gray brown head with bright yellow eyes.
  • Whitish underparts with distinctive arrow-shaped black spots.
  • White throat.
  • Gray brown upperparts with two white wingbars.
  • Long tail.
  • Long, down turned bill.
   The Gray Thrasher is endemic to the Baja California peninsula.

   The Gray Thrasher is a new species to our ebird Photographic Life List.  Our ebird Life List now stands at 1,103.
