10 COLORFUL, INTERESTING & BEAUTIFUL BIRDS FROM AROUND THE WORLD, 5/25/2025
Choosing these 10 colorful and beautiful birds (2 are on the same photo) was a very subjective process. Someone else may have chosen different birds. Here are some of the parameters I used to pick these bird photos:
- A good photo. There were some birds I may have chosen if I had a better photo.
- I wanted to represent as many countries as possible - eight countries are represented on four continents plus Central America.

ADULT MALE NORTHERN CARDINAL FEEDING ITS OFFSPRING, COLONEL SAMUEL SMITH PARK, ETOBICOKE, TORONTO, ONTARIO, 5/24/2025
It looks the young Northern Cardinal (on right) has already fledged, but we don't know for sure. The adult male Northern Cardinal will continue to feed the young even after they fledge, while the female begins her next nesting attempt. The young Northern Cardinals will remain close to their parents until they are able to feed themselves.
