CALIFORNIA TOWHEE, MCGINNIS COUNTY PARK, SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA, 11/16/2017
We can ID this bird as a California Towhee by its generally dull brown color, slightly warmer brown crown, long tail, thick bill and warm cinnamon undertail coverts.
The California Towhee is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 773.

We can ID this bird as a California Scrub-Jay by its blue crown, nape, wings and tail; grey-blue face; whitish throat; straight and stout bill and grey back.
