MALE RUBY-TOPAZ HUMMINGBIRD, ASA WRIGHT NATURE CENTRE, ARIMA, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

Even though the lighting wasn't very good and colors didn't come out very well, we can ID this hummingbird as a male Ruby-topaz Hummingbird by its iridescent ruby red nape, short straight bill, iridescent green throat (throat is generally iridescent gold, but can be iridescent green) and chestnut tail with black tip.
The Ruby-topaz Hummingbird is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 571.
