MALE MASKED YELLOWTHROAT, ROAD TO ARENA FOREST, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
We can ID this bird as a male Masked Yellowthroat by its grey crown, yellowish green upperparts, broad black mask and bright yellow underparts.
The Masked Yellowthroat is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 563.
GREAT ANTSHRIKE, ROAD FROM ASA WRIGHT NATURE CENTRE, ARIMA, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
Because this bird was in a thick tangle we could not get a good photo of it in its entirety; rather we obtained two partial photos. Putting together these two photos with our visual observations, we can ID this bird as a Great Antshrike by its black head, black upperparts, white underparts, red iris and two white wing bars.
The Great Antshrike is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 562.
TRINIDAD MOTMOT, ROAD FROM ASA WRIGHT NATURE CENTRE, ARIMA, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
 We can ID this bird as a Trinidad Motmot by its green upperparts (you can see part of green upperparts in photo), turquoise crown and face with broad black streak through eye, rufous underparts and reddish iris.
The Trinidad Motmot is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 561.
YELLOW-CROWNED PARROT, NARIVA SWAMP, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
We can ID this parrot as a Yellow-crowned Parrot by its generally green color with yellow forecrown and conspicuous white eyering.
The Yellow-crowned Parrot is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 560.
