GRAY-BREASTED MARTIN, BLANCHISSEUSE ROAD, NORTHERN RANGE, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
The swallow on the right is a male Gray-breasted Martin and the one on the left a female. We can ID the male Gray-breasted Martin by its generally blue black color; greyish throat, breast and flanks and a slightly forked tail. The female on the left is duller than the male.
The Gray-breasted Martin is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 549.

MALE CARIB GRACKLE, BLANCHISSEUSE ROAD, NORTHERN RANGE, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
We can ID this bird as a male Carib Grackle by its entirely black color, long keel-shaped tail, decurved bill and whitish iris.
The Carib Grackle is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 548.
