SCALED PIGEON, BLANCHISSEUSE ROAD, NORTHERN RANGE, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
We can ID this pigeon as a Scaled Pigeon by its reddish head, red bill tipped whitish, reddish legs, pale scaled appearance on neck and underparts and purple brown upperparts.
The Scaled Pigeon is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 547.
MALE RED-LEGGED HONEYCREEPER, BLANCHISSEUSE ROAD, NORTHERN RANGE, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
We can ID this bird as a male Red-legged Honeycreeper by its medium-long, dark, slightly decurved bill; black lores; red legs and blue color with black wings, tail and back.
The Red-legged Honeycreeper is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 546.
SOUTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW, BLANCHISSEUSE ROAD, NORTHERN RANGE, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
Even though the lighting was very poor and colors didn't show up very well, we can ID this bird as a Southern Rough-winged Swallow by its small size, dark short pointed bill, whitish underparts, pale chestnut lower face and throat (you can just make this out in second photo) and grayish rump.
The Southern Rough-winged Swallow is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 545.
