PIED KINGFISHER HOVERING, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

   This Pied Kingfisher is hovering in mid-air above a pond, waiting to dive, to catch a fish.  It did do this and it did get a fish.


ADULT & FLEDGELING WHITE-BACKED VULTURE, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

   The  fledgeling White-backed Vulture is leaving the nest and then spreading it wings to try to fly.  It didn't succeed this time.  After this, it went to its parent on top of the tree.

  The larger birds with all black upperparts are the Marabou Storks and the smaller black and white birds are the African Sacred Ibis.
