FEMALE GREATER PAINTED-SNIPE, SEWAGE TREATMENT LAGOONS, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE
We can ID this bird as a female Greater Painted-snipe by its white eye-ring extending onto ear converts, chestnut neck, dark breast band and white breast extending onto shoulder.
The Greater Painted-snipe is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 473.
LESSER STRIPED SWALLOW, SEWAGE TREATMENT LAGOONS, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE
We can ID this swallow as a Lesser Striped Swallow by its very heavily black streaking on white underparts and rich rufous cap and nape.
The Lesser Striped Swallow is a new species to our Photographic Life List , which now stands at 472.
