LESSER STRIPED SWALLOW, SEWAGE TREATMENT LAGOONS, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this swallow as a Lesser Striped Swallow by its very heavily  black streaking on white underparts and rich rufous cap and nape.
   The Lesser Striped Swallow is a new species to our Photographic Life List , which now stands at 472.

MEVES'S STARLING, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this glossy starling as Meves's Starling by its very long tail, especially compared to other glossy starlings.
   Meves's Starling is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 471.

      The Big Tree is a Baobab tree which is estimated to be 1000-1500 years old.





AFRICAN HARRIER-HAWK, ZAMBEZI RIVER, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this raptor as an African Harrier-Hawk by its grey upperparts, finely barred gray and white below and yellow face patch extending around the eye.
   The African Harrier-Hawk is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 470.
