AFRICAN HAWK EAGLES PERCHED AND IN FLIGHT, IVORY LODGE AREA, ZIMBABWE
We can ID these raptors as African Hawk Eagles by their white underparts streaked with black, blackish brown upperparts with white spots and the underwing pattern when inflight.
The African Hawk Eagle is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 455.
STRIPED KINGFISHER, IVORY LODGE AREA, ZIMBABWE
We can ID this kingfisher as a Striped Kingfisher by its dark-capped appearance contrasting with its whitish collar, dark and red bill and striped underparts.
The Striped Kingfisher is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 454.
YELLOW-THROATED PETRONIA, HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE
We can ID this sparrow as a Yellow-throated Petronia by its broad white eyebrows, brownish upperparts, two white wing bars, whitish throat and whitish below.
