REED CORMORANT EATING A FISH, ZAMBEZI RIVER, ZIMBABWE


FEMALE GIANT KINGFISHER, ZAMBEZI RIVER, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this kingfisher as  female Giant Kingfisher by its large size, massive bill, white breasts with blackish spots and.chestnut belly.
   The Giant Kingfisher is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 410.

   We can identify this raptor as a Yellow-billed Kite by its yellow bill and deeply forked tail.
