TAWNY EAGLE IN FLIGHT, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE
We can ID this eagle as a Tawny Eagle by its underwing pattern, long broad wings and broad fan-shaped tail.
The Tawny Eagle is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 403..
CRESTED FRANCOLIN, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE
We can ID this bird as a Crested Francolin by its dark cap that contrasts with a broad white eyebrow stripe, upperparts that are reddish-brown streaked with white and reddish legs.

WAHLBERG'S EAGLE, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE
We can ID this eagle as the dark morph of Wahlberg's Eagle by the dark brown color of its head, face, neck and the rest of the bird that we can see; the gape extending to the middle of the eye; dark eyes and grayish bill with darker tip.
Wahlberg's Eagle is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 401.
LILAC-BREASTED ROLLER, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE
Even though we can't see see the bill and most of the face of this bird we can still ID it as a Lilac-breasted Roller because of its distinctive tail streamers and lilac colored breasts.
