EASTERN BLUEBIRD, FREEDOM MEMORIAL PARK, NAPLES, FL

MALE NORTHERN CARDINAL, FREEDOM MEMORIAL PARK, NAPLES, FL

RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, FREEDOM MEMORIAL PARK, NAPLES, FL

This hawk was very close to us, so we were able to get some really good closeups.

BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, FREEDOM MEMORIAL PARK, NAPLES, FL

TAIL OF A HAWK, FREEDOM MEMORIAL PARK, NAPLES, FL

This is the Red-shouldered Hawk nest with hawks in it shown in a previous post.  This time all you can see is the hawk's tail sticking out on the right side of the nest.  The female hawk is probably sitting on eggs.

NORTHERN PARULA, FREEDOM MEMORIAL PARK, NAPLES, FL

Even though we cannot see the entire bird in the photo, enough is showing to be able to ID this warbler as a Northern Parula:
  • Blue-gray head and wings.
  • Two short white wingbars.
  • Yellow front neck and chest with dark band across between them.
The Northern Parula is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 267.
