NONBREEDING RUDDY TURNSTONE, NAPLES BEACH & NAPLES PIER, NAPLES, FL

FEMALE BOAT-TAILED GRACKLE, EAGLE LAKES COMMUNITY PARK, NAPLES, FL

We can ID this bird as a female Boat-tailed Grackle from its long tail and the rufous color underneath and of is head.  The female Common Grackle does not have this rufous color.  Also the grackle was hanging around with a male Boat-tailed Grackle.

GRACKLE VS SHRIKE, EAGLE LAKES COMMUNITY PARK, NAPLES, FL

We thought the Boat-tailed Grackle and Loggerhead Shrike on the same tree made an interesting photo.  The second photo (Boat-tailed Grackle) and third photo (Loggerhead Shrike) are closeups of the two birds.
