MOTTLED DUCK PAIR, VERONAWALK, NAPLES, FL

   These ducks can be identified as Mottled Ducks by the prominent black spot on the gape.  The duck in the foreground with the yellow bill is probably the male and the other duck with the orange bill is probably the female.

   This is an unusual photo.  You don't normally see an Osprey among gulls and shorebirds like this.  The gulls and shorebirds don't seen concerned.

BREEDING MALE MAGNIFICENT FRIGATEBIRD, TIGERTAIL BEACH, MARCO ISLAND, FL

   This Magnificent Frigatebird is in breeding plumage as can be seen from the large red gular sack on the bottom of its neck.  The male inflates this to attract the female.  You can also see the large forked tail.
