The first photo shows a Cackling Goose. The second photo, in the forefront, shows two Cackling Geese in back of each other and beside them are two Canada Geese beside each other. Here you can see the differences between the two species of geese. The Cackling Geese are considerably smaller than the Canada Geese and have both shorter bills and shorter necks than the Canada Geese. Also Merlin Sound can tell the difference between them. This is why I actually started looking for the Cackling Geese, as Merlin Sound indicated they were present.
