We can ID this warbler as a male Canada Warbler as follows:
- Bright yellow underparts with a series of vertical rows of black spots that run that run across the upper breast (necklace)
- Bright yellow throat
- As much as we can see of the crown and nape is bluish gray
- White eyering
- In the second photo you can just make out the start of a yellow supraloral stripe
The Canada Warbler breeds in boreal Canada and northeastern U.S. and Appalachian mountains south to Tennessee and Georgia. It overwinters in northern South America,
