   I thought this painting might be of interest to birders, since in the description of the the painting hanging by it in the museum it describes this combination of birds and leaves as "leaf birds".  As birders we have all seen "leaf birds"; leaves at a distance that look like a bird, but on closer examination are just leaves.  This is an artist's interpretation of "leaf birds".
