ADULT LEAST BITTERN & TWO FLEDGELING LEAST BITTERNS, EAGLE LAKES COMMUNITY PARK, NAPLES, FLORIDA, 5/26/2026

The first three photos show an adult Least Bittern.  The next three photos show a fledgeling Least Bittern. The adult was able to fully fly, while the fledgeling was still learning to fly and could only hop and flutter short distances from one branch to another nearby branch.
The fledgeling Least Bittern still retains some traces of fluffy baby down.  You can see this on the crown of the fledgeling.  Also, if you look carefully you can see parts, including some baby down, of a second fledgeling Least Bitten beside and in back of the first one.
