DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT WITH NESTING MATERIAL, ASHBRIDGE'S BAY PARK, TORONTO, ONTARIO, 5/19/2023
Both the male and female Double-crested Cormorant work on the nest. The male brings most of the material and the female builds the nest. The nest is made of mostly small sticks, but some seaweed and flotsam is used, such as that in this cormorant's bill. The nest is lined with grass.
