MALE YELLOW-CROWNED EUPHONIA, ARENAL OBSERVATORY LODGE, LA FORTUNA, ALAJUELA PROVINCE, COSTA RICA, 10/10/2022 - NEW SPECIES # 1,064 TO LIFE LIST
We can ID this bird as a male Yellow-crowned Euphonia as follows:
- Extensive yellow crown
- Blackish face, nape and throat. You can just make out bluish-black on the nape and throat.
- Short, stubby bill
- Yellow underparts
The Yellow-crowned Euphonia is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 1,064.
