BRIGHTON BEACH BATHING BOXES & VIEW OF CITY, MELBOURNE, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA

   There are 82 of these colorful beach boxes.  Bathing boxes in Brighton are known to have existed as far back as 1862, but not at their present location.  The boxes were relocated to their present position at Dandy Street Beach in 1934.

MUSK DUCK, WESTERN TREATMENT PLANT, WERRIBEE, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA

   We can ID this duck as a Musk Duck by its short wedge shaped bill, large brown head, brown above with paler barring (on the small upperparts area we can see),

grey-brown below (from what we can see) and floating low in the water (similar to a cormorant).

   The Musk Duck is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 672.
