TREES WITHOUT BARK:ELEPHANTS HAVE BEEN THROUGH HERE, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

   The trees in this photo all have no bark.  This is a sign that Elephants have been here and eaten the bark.


GREY CUCKOOSHRIKE, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Grey-headed Cuckooshrike by its all-grey color, broad square-ended tail and dark loral patch (female doesn'the have this).
   The Grey-headed Cuckooshrike is a new species to our Photographic Life List , which now stands at 474.

WEAVER NESTS, VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

   The nests hanging from the tree are for White-browned Sparrow-Weavers. The nests are used all year by the weavers.  They have two entrances: the main entrance and an emergency exit.
