EATEN ELEPHANT DUNG, IVORY LODGE AREA, ZIMBABWE

   This Elephant dung has probably been picked through for food by birds or other animals, since it is not in a solid lump.  Elephant dung is a good source of food for birds and other animals as it contains a high proportion of undigested food.

   Most of the watering holes at the park are supplied water from Wells.  The pumps are powered by solar panels.

   These Elephants at a watering hole were within sight of the Lions and the juvenile Elephant they had killed.
