FORKED-TAILED DRONGO, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Fork-tailed Drongo by its deeply forked tail with the outer feathers splayed outwards.
   The Fork-tailed Drongo is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 394.





MALE VIOLET-BACKED STARLING, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE


WESTERN YELLOW WAGTAIL & WARTHOG, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Western Yellow Wagtail by its short tail, greenish back, yellow underneath and whitish eyebrow.  The wagtail is probably eating invertebrates stirred-up by the Warthog.
   The Western Yellow Wagtail is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 393.



MALE MARICO SUNBIRD, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Marico Sunbird by its metallic, iridescent greenish-blue head and neck and long downcurved bill.
   The Marico Sunbird is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 392.



BROAD-BILLED ROLLER, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Broad-billed Roller by its bright yellow bill, dark cinnamon and purple coloration, blue in wings and blue tail.
   The Broad-billed Roller is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 391.

LEVAILLANT'S CUCKOO, IMBABALA PRIVATE CONCESSION, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Levaillant's Cuckoo by its dark-and-white coloration with a large, shaggy crest.  Also, has a white throat.
   The Levaillant's Cuckoo is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 390.
