CASPIAN TERN EATING A FISH, WINDERMERE BASIN HAMILTON, ON

   We can ID this tern as a Caspian Tern in breeding plumage mainly by its dark legs (Common Tern and Forster's Tern  would have reddish-orange legs) and its full black cap and forehead.

KILDEER, CANADA CENTER FOR INLAND WATERS GROUNDS, HAMILTON, ON

   Even though we weren't able to see the front or profile of this plover we can ID it as a Kildeer from its rufous rump and tail and black at the end of the tail.
