BREEDING MALE LESSER SCAUP, BRIGHTON CONSTRUCTED WETLANDS, BRIGHTON, ON

   We can ID this scaup as a Lesser Scaup rather than a Greater Scaup by the shape of its head.  The peak of the head is at the back of the head rather toward the front in a Greater Scaup.
