AMERICAN WIGEON AMONG OTHER DUCKS, EAGLE LAKES COMMUNITY PARK, NAPLES, FL

   The American Wigeon is the duck in the center left with the dark green smudge around the eye.  The other ducks are mostly Blue-winged Teals.

NESTING OF MIXED BIRDS, WAKADAHATCHEE WETLANDS, DELRAY BEACH, FL

   One of the interesting sites at Wakadahatchee Wetlands is the variety of birds nesting together on the small islands in the wetlands.  If you look at the photos you can identify the following birds:
  • Wood Storks
  • Double-crested Cormorants
  • Great Blue Herons
  • Anhingas
  • Great Egrets

   The Wood Storks were abundant at Wakadahatchee Wetlands.  We were able to get photos of them nesting and on the ground.
