BURROWING OWL, DEVIL'S GARDEN BIRD PARK, CLEWISTON, FL



CATTLE EGRETS & CATTLE, DEVIL'S GARDEN BIRD PARK, CLEWISTON, FL

   In addition to being a bird park, Devil's Garden is also a working ranch, with around 1,000 head of cattle.  As you can see in the photos, their are numerous Cattle Egrets who follow the livestock to capture insects stirred up by their movrment.  This is where their name comes from.  In the first photo you can even see a Cattle Egret atop of a cow.

CRESTED CARACARA, DEVIL'S GARDEN BIRD PARK, CLEWISTON, FL

   The Crested Caracara has a black cap, red face, black body and faint baring on the breast, as seen in the photo.  It is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 245.
