RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, EAGLE LAKES COMMUNITY PARK, NAPLES, FL
This is the Florida subspecies of the Red-shouldered Hawk. This subspecies is paler than the northern birds.
BLUE-WINGED TEALS, NAPLES BOTANICAL GARDEN, NAPLES, FL
The Blue-winged Teals on the left and the right are males and the one in the middle is a female. The males have a white crescent on their face, while the female has a pale patch at the base of the bill and white eye-arcs.
