SORA, EAGLE LAKES COMMUNITY PARK, NAPLES, FL
We identified this bird as an adult Sora, a species of Rail, as follows:
- Small and stout
- Short, thick yellow bill
- Black face at base of bill, with rest of face and neck blue-grey
The Sora is new to our Life List, which now stsnds at 242.

JUVENILE ROYAL TERN, GOODLAND, MARCO ISLAND, FL
Juvenile Royal Terns have orange legs and bills, while adult Royal Terns have black legs and more reddish bills This is a juvenile Royal Tern; however you can see in the photo,'' that its legs are starting to turn black. This generally occurs in November.
