GREEN IGUANA ATOP ROOF, ARENAL PARAISO RESORT, LA FORTUNA, SAN CARLOS, COSTA RICA
The Green Iguana is also known as the Common Iguana or American Iguana. Our tour guide, Eric, told us that you can usually find this Iguana atop this roof.
CLAY-COLORED THRUSH, AVENAL PARAISO RESORT, LA FORTUNA, SAN CARLOS, COSTA RICA
The Clay-colored Thrush is the national bird of Costa Rica, where it is known as yiguirro. It is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 176.
SOOTY-FACED FINCH, LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENS, VARA BLANCA, ALAJUELA, COSTA RICA
Just managed to get a photo of the finch as it was moving fast out of range, so the bird is just at the edge of the photo. The Sooty-faced Finch is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 174.
WHITE HAWK, ARENAL PARAISO RESORT, LA FORTUNA, SAN CARLOS, COSTA RICA
This hawk was very far off and is enlarged, so the photo is somewhat fuzzy. Our tour guide, Eric was able to identify it as a White Hawk. This is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 173.
