RED-TAILED HAWK, ROSETTA MaCLEAN GARDENS, SCARBOROUGH, ON

We learned from talking to other birders that several Red-tailed Hawks have taken up residence in Rosetta MaClean Gardens.  We actually found it because we heard a an angry Blue Jay angrily sqawking at the hawk.  The red tail of the hawk is obvious in the third photo, taken from the back of the hawk.

Rosetta MaClean Gardens in the Scarborough section of Toronto is a beautifull botanical garden and is a birding hotspot for passerines.  It is on Scarborough Bluffs overlooking Lake Ontario.  It is also a great location for seeing butterflies.  Here are some photos of the gardens; individual photos of birds, butterflies, etc are on birdrap.com separately.
