NORTHERN JACANA, CURUBANDA LODGE PRESERVE, GUANACASTE, COSTA RICA

   Even though the photo is out of focus and somewhat grainy, we can ID this bird as a Northern Jacana because of its yellow bill, black head and neck, yellow frontal shield and rufous upperparts.
   The Northern Jacana is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 293.
