FLOCK OF AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS IN FLIGHT, TEN THOUSAND ISLANDS NWR,COLLIER COUNTY,FLORIDA, 1/23/2020
There were 19 American White Pelicans in this flock. A group of pelicans has several names: brief, pod, pouch, scoop and squadron.
RED-BREASTED MERGANSER JUST RELEASED FROM REHAB, MARSH TRAIL,TEN THOUSAND ISLANDS NWR,COLLIER COUNTY,FLORIDA, 1/23/2020
This Red-breasted Merganser had just been released from rehab a few minutes before these photos were taken. It had been in rehab at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida in Naples due to minor injuries suffered in some kind auto accident.
