BROWN JAY WITH TWO YUCATAN JAYS, COURTYARD MARRIOTT CANCUN AIRPORT,CANCUN,MEXICO, 11/2/2018

        In both photos the Brown Jay is on the left and the two Yucatan Jays are on the right.  We can ID the bird on the left as a Brown Jay as follows:
  • Dark brown upperparts
  • Darker head
  • White underparts
  • White tips to the tail
      The Brown Jay is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 804.

       We can ID this bird as an immature Yucatan Jay as follows:
  • Black head, neck, throat and underparts
  • Blue upperparts
  • Yellow bill vs black bill of adult
        The Yucatan Jay is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 803.
