   The adult Double-crested Cormorant is on the right and the juvenile on the left.

ITS WOOD, ITS A KNOT, ITS AN ANIMAL, GREEN CAY WETLANDS, BOYNTON BEACH, FL

   Its amazing how knots in a wood plank can look like something in real life.  These two knots at the boardwalk at Green Cay Wetlands are a good example.  The first one really looks like a Lion and the second one looks like an Ostrich.
   We wood like to thank our guide at Green Cay for showing us the knot that looks like a Lion.

   These are all adult male Purple Martins, except for the bird in the first photo on the lower right; this ia a juvenile Purple Martin.
