BLACK-COLLARED HAWK, USUMACINTA MARSHES,CHIAPAS,MEXICO, 11/12/2018

      We can ID this hawk as a Black-collared Hawk as follows:
  • Whitish head, tinged with buff and black streaks on crown
  •  Black collar on front of neck
  • Upperparts and underparts are bright cinnamon-rufous
  • Upperparts has black stripes
      The Black-collared Hawk is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 838.
