YELLOW-SPOTTED HONEYEATER, CASSOWARY HOUSE, KURANDA NATIONAL PARK, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

Even though the photo is out-of-focus we can ID this bird as a Yellow-spotted Honeyeater by its yellow patches on the cheek and behind the ear, the shape of the yellow ear patch (on Lewin's Honeyeater it is crescent shaped), the prominent striations on its underparts  (the Graceful Honeyeater does not have such prominent striations) and olive brown upperparts.
The Yellow-spotted Honeyeater is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 687.
