FEMALE AUSTRALIAN SHELDUCK, WESTERN TREATMENT PLANT, WERRIBEE, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA

   In spite of the fact that in the first photo the duck is silueted and in the second photo we can't see its face and bill,  between the two photos we can ID this duck as a female Australian Shelduck by its white around the eye, dark head and neck, white neck collar, chestnut breast and a white ring at the base of the bill. 
   The Australian Shelduck is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 669. V
