- Photos 1 & 2 - Winter (nonbreeding) male Long-tailed Ducks. You can see the long tail in all three ducks (females do not have long tails).
- Photo 3 - Duck on the left is a winter (nonbreeding) female Long-tailed Duck and the two ducks behind it are male winter Long-tailed Ducks.
- Photo 4 - Winter female Long-tailed Duck.
- Photo 5 - The duck to the far right is a male winter Long-tailed duck; the other two are winter female Long-tailed Ducks.
