NEST OF AUDOBON SHEARWATER, LITTLE TOBAGO ISLAND, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

   The Audobon Shearwater breeds from January to April on Little Tobago,  during which time it uses nests like this burrow.   This burrow is known to host an Audobon Shearwater.  After breeding they spend the rest of the year at sea.

BROWN NODDY ON ROCKS & IN FLIGHT, BATTEAUX BAY, SPEYSIDE, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

   We can ID this bird as a Brown Noddy by its generally chocolate brown color, white crown and forehead,  wedge shaped tail and dark feet and legs. 
   The Brown Noddy is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 586.

BROWN BOOBY, BATTEAUX BAY, SPEYSIDE, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

   We can ID this bird as a Brown Booby by its dark brown head, neck, upperparts, tail and upper breast sharply divided from white lower breast and rest of underparts; yellow legs; ivory/light blue bill; long,tapered tail and pale yellow chin  (see left Booby in first photo).
   The Brown Booby is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 585.
