HADEDA IBIS, COURTYARD HOTEL, JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

   We can ID this ibis as a Hadeda Ibis by its overall gray-brown color, gray face with whitish stripe from bill to below and behind eye and gray bill with red ridge on the upper mandible.
   The Hadeda Ibis is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 319.


SPOTTED THICK-KNEES, COURTYARD HOTEL, JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

   We can ID this bird as a Spotted Thick--Knee by its short bill which is yellow at base, greenish-yellow legs and mottled brown plumage.
   The Spotted Thick--Knee is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 318.



AFRICAN SACRED IBIS, COURTYARD HOTEL, JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

   We can ID this ibis as an African Sacred Ibis by its being predominately white with a black head and neck and its heavy decurved black bill.
   The African Sacred Ibis is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 317.

EGYPTIAN GOOSE, COURTYARD HOTEL, JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

   We can ID this goose as an Egyptian Goose by its chestnut eye patch, neck ring and pink legs and bii (you can see this in the last photo).
   The Egyptian Goos is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 316.
