CASSAVA, VILLAGE IN NAUSORI HIGHLANDS, VITI LEVU, FIJI

In Fiji, casava root is a staple equivalent to potatoes or rice in other countries.  Also, Tapioca is a starch extracted from Cassava root.  The first photo shows a Cassava root which was just pulled out of the ground.  The next two photos show Sharon standing in a field of Cassava plants, which are also shown in the fourth photo.  The last two photos show Sharon and Peter holding a Cassava plant stalk.
