STRIATED HERON, ZAMBEZI RIVER, LIVINGSTONE, ZAMBIA

   We can ID this heron as a Striated Heron by its blue-gray back and wings; paler blue-gray underparts; short, pale yellow legs and a dark line that extends from bill to under the eye.
   The Striated Heron (also known as Green-backed Heron) is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 358.
