FEMALE WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH ON BOTTOM OF FEEDER, LYNDE SHORES CONSERVATION AREA, WHITBY, ON

   We can ID this bird as a female White-breasted Nuthatch by it blue-gray crown (rather than than the black crown of the male), short tail, thin white wing bar, blue-gray upperparts and white underparts with a rufous wash in the rear.
