BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING DUCK AT EAGLE LAKES COMMUNITY PARK, NAPLES, FLORIDA

This morning Sharon and I took a walk in Eagle Lakes Community Park and sighted and photographed a new species for our Life List, a Black-bellied Whistling Duck.  This is a pretty distinctive bird:
  • Red bill
  • Reddish-brown back
  • Black belly & underwing
  • Pink legs
  • Grey face
  • White upperwing stripe
